Cleansing Therapy: common questions

Is Epsom salt the same as normal salt?

No. Table salt is sodium chloride. Epsom salt is magnesium sulfate — a different compound with different effects on the body. The name comes from Epsom in England, where it was first drawn from a spring. Swallowing it does not add sodium to your diet. Read more

Why does a liver cleanse take Epsom salt before the olive oil?

Magnesium relaxes smooth muscle, including the muscle in the walls of the bile ducts and the sphincter of Oddi. How much Epsom salt is used, and in how much water?

How long is a camp and where are they held?

Two nights and three days, usually at a hotel or resort with grounds, most often over a weekend. Locations move around India through the year. Tell us your city and we will send the next dates near you. Read more

Will I sleep?

Not well, and that is expected. The oil dose is at ten, you lie on your right side, and the bowel movements begin in the early hours. Nobody sleeps through it. It is one night. Read more
