Any wellness protocol deserves to be described in terms that a clinician would recognise. This is an attempt to do that for Cleansing Therapy, including where the evidence is thinner than its advocates sometimes suggest.

The proposed mechanism

The protocol aims to stimulate bile flow and intestinal transit within a defined window, supporting the clearance the liver and gut already perform.

What is established, and what is not

Participant-reported outcomes are consistently positive across camps. Controlled trial data is limited. Both statements are true at once, and saying so is more useful than overclaiming.

Practising responsibly

The Government of India has confirmed the therapy may be practised under the supervision of a Registered Medical Practitioner. That framing is the right one.
